Another Loss

Yesterday, I did something I had been dreading to do.  Steve and I had an appointment with an insurance agent about dropping auto coverage for me.  In order for me to be offically dropped- I would have to surrender my driver's license.  Surrender that plastic card that still made me believe I had some sense of freedom- although I haven't driven a car since October 9th, 2010.  So we stopped and ate lunch so I had time to process what I was about to do.  When we walked into the BMV, I went up to the counter confidently and stated I was here to surrender my license and before I knew it- the tears started flowing.  And they flowed quietly all the way home.
